Through my title, I have been given so many wonderful opportunities to serve my community, state, and country. I have been an advocate for the Children's Miracle Network and my personal platform: Make a Muscle, Make a Difference, Be Strong for Two. Here are a few of the things I have done to Make A Difference:
  • As Representative for Parent Project MD, advocated for MD care Act 2014 in Washington D.C. before all 6 Arkansas Congressmen and/or Legislative Assistants
The M.D. Care Act was enacted in 2001 by Congress to give money for research for Muscular Dystrophy. Last year the act was up for reauthorization but did not pass through Congress. Parent Project MD took action again in 2014 and had representatives all over the United States go before our U.S. Senators, Representatives, and Legislative Assistants to emphasize how crucial it is that this act be reauthorized. In February, I was given the great opportunity to go to Washington DC and be one of those representatives.
